Public Consultation and Exhibition

The Personal Touch hosted a Public Exhibition of the Site plans, designs and layouts for their proposed development in Eastfield Lane, Ringwood, at the 3rd Ringwood Scout Hut, 88 Eastfield Lane, on Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th December 2008..

Members of the public were invited to give their views on the development and we have printed below several of their comments.

‘’The scheme has a good visual appearance, the houses are of a sympathetic design with good size gardens & green space; a well thought through scheme.’’

‘’We live locally & our children attend local schools; it would be reassuring to know that there was sufficient affordable housing available in the future so that they could stay when their education is complete’’

‘’The scheme is a big improvement over the last application; less units & keeping all of the dwellings to 2 storey is much more acceptable for an edge of town location like Eastfield Lane. It shows that the developer has listened to what people have said ’’

‘’Ringwood now has its own Town Plan & it is important that developers respect this when preparing these new projects. Quality new houses, affordable housing & useable public open space are all included here & this shows that as a community, our needs are being met & our voice is heard’’

‘’Affordable homes are a big plus here; Ringwood is desperately short of such accommodation & this will really help the situation’’
