‘’Various comments have been made in respect of traffic generation & the potential for flooding.
In regard to traffic generation, we have undertaken a detailed technical audit of the site including a speed survey & our highway proposals were accepted by the County Council’s engineer at an early meeting & this formed the basis of the project highway design. The latest technical update from our highways consulting engineers is attached below for your reference.
Consultation was also undertaken with both the Environment Agency & Wessex Water as to the projects drainage requirements & they have raised no objection.
However to alleviate the concerns of the NFDC drainage section and also many local residents, we commissioned a Flood Risk Assessment to be carried out, a copy of which has already been sent to the NFDC, and I am happy to post a copy on this site.”
